Virginia Priede

Artista Téxtil

Virginia Priede, a textile designer originally from Puebla, Mexico, began her career exploring textile techniques and processes, soon expanding her vision toward interior design and the transformation of spaces. Her training in Textile Design at Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla, complemented by a Master's in Fine Arts from UNARTE and an artist residency at HANGAR Barcelona sponsored by the Government of Catalonia, allowed her to consolidate an interdisciplinary approach where art, design, and execution engage in full dialogue.

Over more than two decades, Priede has developed solo and group exhibitions in highly relevant venues such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Museo Barroco, Fundación Jumex, UNAM, Centro de las Artes de San Agustín, and, more recently, the Mexican Embassy in the United Kingdom. Her work focuses on the investigation of textures, the channeling of materials, and the integration of light as a narrative element, transforming spaces into sensory experiences that invite contemplation.

She currently resides in Spain, where she continues exploring textile art as a language intertwined with architecture, design, and the poetics of matter, establishing herself as a recognized artist who transforms her surroundings through her vision and creativity.
